Recommended settings for viewing Twisted Universe and the rest of the web.
| Operating system |
Designed with Windows, but looks just as good on Macintosh.
|
| Screen resolution |
800x600. Start menu > Settings > Control panel > Display > Settings and
look at screen resolution. If it is less that 800x600, move it up to 800x600 and click Apply.
Click OK after the screen flickers. It'll take a few days to get used to it, but it's worth it
because the web never looked better than with 800x600 res.

| Brightness |
Turn the brightness all the way up. See how the black gets brighter but some of it stays really
black? What you want to do is turn the brightness down just enough to where the lighter shade of
black is the exact same shade as the one that didn't change at all.

| Web browser |
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or better. Many features used on this site aren't supported by
Netscape. Also, your browser must support JavaScript and CSS (stylesheets). If your browser isn't
Netscape 3.0 or better or MSIE 3.0 or better, your browser probably doesn't support these. I recommend
downloading the latest version of MSIE.
|
| Additional programs |
I recommend you have font
smoothing (direct download, 2 minutes) installed. Also, to hear the sound clips, you must have
this MPEG Layer-3 codec. See downloads for
more extras.
|
| Colors |
High color (16-bit) is recommended. The more colors, the better.
