And now, my rant,
MY SELF.
I am obnoxious. I do not know why, but I have a large tendency to stand on a soapbox and rant. Wait. I do know why. Astrology. No, I don't know why. Astrology just happens to explain a lot about people. If you want an explanation about me, I'm a Sagittarius sun, Leo rising, and Pisces Moon. If you want to know more, I was born on December 6, 1978, at 8:36 PM in Hinsdale, a suburb of Chicago. If you don't understand any of that, go here

Timothius stuck. that's why. A friend of mine, in a silly moment of randomness, called me Timothius. It stuck.
I am an ethical person by nature. I try to live my life as Kurt Vonnegut would say, as a humanist. I try to live my life as a good human, to the betterment of myself and everything, with no expectations of any kind of reward in the afterlife, if there happened to be an afterlife. Basically I forever roll the question, "am I doing the right thing?" in my head.
That ethicality, plus a desire to be healthy and most importantly, not fat, has led me to a vegan lifestyle. Vegan means I do not consume or use animal products. As of right now, I am using an old leather pair of Vans, as my lifting shoes and a leather guitar strap. All of these items will eventually be phased out of my life. At this point in my broke-ass college student life, I cannot condone throwing/giving/donating away things I still may have use for, even if I would not purchase them again.
In summer 2000 I began studying Aikido, a Japanese martial art. Since then it has become an important part of my life, and although i know nothing (ive been studying for such a short time), it has really influenced my life. I guess i'd like to take this space to thank Brian and Cynthia, and all the other Aikidoka who have seen fit to spend time helping this klutz relax, center, and not land face first.
I attend Northern Illinois University. That doesn't imply that I endorse the school. There are some serious problems here, but there are problems everywhere, and it just happens that this place happens to be the right place for me at this time. It's an odd combination of teachers and friends and opportunities that have made DeKalb my temporary home, while I work toward my English and my Media Studies degrees.
I love my cat, Milla. She rules. I live in a three bedroom apartment with my friends Nick and Tracy. about a week after we moved in, the landlords kicked out cats out and fined us money, so Milla is now residing at my parents house, unfortunately.
