The Punkhouse - An Archive

The Punkhouse was started during November 1998 and was shut down due to lack of interest towards the end of January 2000. The reason I stopped updating the site was because I was running out of ideas and grew bored with what I had on the site. I felt that if I was going to run a webzine I should do it right and update it regularly or not do it at all. Updating the site during that time started to feel like a hassle and before long I tacked an "under construction" sign up and pushed it aside due to other hobbies and endevors.

I started the site because of my infatuation with pop punk music and my desire to spread the word about it. During the time The Punkhouse was operational I bugged, harrassed, and bothered many of my favorite names in the pop punk scene. The site's name was taken from the title of a Screeching Weasel song, 'Punkhouse'.

I have decided to post and keep up all of the interviews done when The Punkhouse was up, for everyone to read. My thanks go out to the bands, labels, and dog that took the time to answer the questions of a giddy little fan...
