This is my first Flash project. I've found the software an interesting set of compromises. The movie weighs in at around 123K including sound effects, which I'm pleased with. I was displeased with the program's solution to smooth motion however; I think ease graphs would be much more useful.
The subject matter goes back to a visual metaphor I coined during the aftermath of the Littleton, CO school shootings, when, among other things, a number of vocal Christian groups seized upon an alledged incident in which a girl was asked by the shooters if she believed in God, and said yes, before being shot...
Though impressed with many people, in the 9/11/01 terrorist attack, I saw, as in all major crises, those who would use their losses for ideological gain. I guess this is human nature. We want loss to teach. We don't want those we love to die in vain. I just wanted to create some piece of vocabulary to use when such decisions need to be made.
