"One Step"
I have no formal training in animation. I do it only out of a mad love of control, I suspect.

In this film, a little alien crash lands, and makes his way home. There are no significant misadventures, no real plot points--only scenes.

One school of thought holds that poses are more important to defining a character than the timing of his movements. If the animation progresses at a reasonable pace from one emotive posture to another then the sequence will be a success.
This character doesn't speak--he doesn't even have a mouth. Gesture will make or break him, in terms of the audience's reaction.

I don't want to make big films. I don't want to take a viewpoint and try to convince people with it. I'm sick of enemies, and Them, and taboo breaking, and false simplifications.
I just want to animate for now.
