It occurs to me, now that I've seen a movie starring Joe Don Baker on Mystery Science Theatre 3000...

...in which one of the comments mentions a bit part by said actor in Goldeneye, that I don't remember Goldeneye at all. I mean, I remember James Bond smashing through, well, basically everything in Moscow that the film crew could buy (quite a lot, nowadays, I'd think), and I remember some misplaced political correctness crap that crested with a phenomenally ugly woman who could kill men with her thighs, the use of the Arecibo Radio Telescope as a location that didn't really pan out, and that the whole thing kind of left me cold, but, really--that's no more than I could have gleened from a preview. What the hell's going on here?

As dust was a big problem in my dorm room last year, I decided to do something this time. I bought a sweeper. You know, one of those mop handles with a static-filled sheet at the end. It was a question, as my plans took me to Wal-Mart this evening, of what kind of sweeper I might buy. There were fewer competitors than I expected. Endust had an entry, as did some other company with an ugly box. In the end, though, the clear favorite won--this was, of course, the Swiffer. You may be familiar with their TV ad, featuring a band of singing and dancing army privates. To quote MST3K, "Don't ask, don't tell, but have a great time!" From this, I bought. Oh well.

What happens if someone dies in Never Never Land? Seriously, do they come back? Do they switch to being a pirate or lost boy, if they weren't one before (if so)? Maybe they just die, but then, where do all the pirates come from? Pan has a nice recruiting program, but what about Hook? Does he advertise? So many questions left unanswered by Hook. (Great matte paintings, though.)

Muddied pant legs, smelling of the ocean. A flannel shirt. More mud on the boots. Two days' worth of stubble on the face, and a tired expression. Arriving in a rusty '89 Toyota, and leaving within it a coat from Goodwill, frankly, could I have been a more typical Wal-Mart shopper?

Too much sun and lobster today.
Also, has anyone at all missed the "plugs...?"

...You know, the little picture/links thrown in all willy-nilly when I'd begin talking about something that I wanted to cite, thought might be obscure or just plain wanted to show off? Hell, half the time I'd just have a paragraph that ran overlong and have to split it up. The things are a pain to do with an unstable internet connection, but as things even out at school, I'll try not to forget the fans of such superfluities.

Yes, I think I did just coin a new word. I revert to my previous shortest statement, and end with a hearty good night.
