I compare TBR to Sly Stone's amazing, spontaneous, first take vocal on "Family Affair". Sly was totally high (you can really hear it in his voice) and right on for this magnificant work. What a masterpiece. He and his creation were the coolest thing on the planet for that brief slice of time, maybe they still are. That is what The Blackwood Report was to me.
