Making contect with te Rockseers, in my eyes, is more like a reward that is gained when they slay the shadow dragon. It isn't even necassary to slay the dragon, they could find a way to get passed him! I think you shoeld be carefull of how you handle the Rockseers. The are a powerful race and therefore a powerful allie. Do not let them gain their trust as easy as they could earn the trust of the svirneblin.
For Illthids there is a very handy spell in the old priestspells compendium. It is called Free Will. If you can look it up, then I suugest yoy let your priest have it. My Party is still in the Great Shaboath and they are planning on how to assault the tower complex. It isn't going to be easy for players and DM alike.
