A few bits added to my campaign:
1) The Howling moor gets its name from a howling tower from a Fritz Lieber story of the same name. People disappear but these are strong warrior types. My players investigated this as part of the pilgrim investigation.
2)The Great Rock Dale is a drier version of Xak Tsaroth in Dragons of Dispair. The dragon has stolen the Rosestone to lure adventurers into Haranshire. The stone has subsequently been used (somehow) to warp humanoids into Draconians. The well is blocked and the Gully dwarves are bloody useless at unblocking it. There is an uneasy truce between the dragon and the underdark.
3)The Night below underdark links into the underdark from the Queen of Spiders. Xak Tsaroth (above) links to the entry point for Queen of Spiders to the North West and the entry point for night below from the South East. The Drow City and Great Shaboath are poles apart with all the communities in between (Derro, 2 tribes of Kuo Toans, Troglodytes, Grell, Illithids and 3 tribes of Trolls) caught in a long distance tug-of-war. The Drow followers of Tharizdun (in Queen of Spiders)are actually part of the Aboleth conspiracy while the renegade Illithids are allied with Lolth.

Complicated I know but fun and far less linear than Night below on it's own. Gives the players the feel of the underdark and opportunity to forge a variety of alliances along the way. Also adds the opportunity to boost experience with a bit more Trog, Trol and Goggler bashing (not to mention giants if the players venture to the surface for a breather).
