Reese Witherspoon is still totally heaving for her hot hubby, Ryan Phillippe. "He always looks good," sweet Reese said at a recent ritzy premiere. But the actress, who's looking much better of late than she did soon after the birth of the couple's baby, does have at least one gripe about her man: "He hasn't done a situp in six months and still has a six-pack. I hate him! I hate him!" As long as he's strutting his abs just for you, darling Reese, hardly something to get in a huff about. Think about it.

HOLLYWOOD, Aug. 30, 2000 -- "It’s a western with cell phones and the cell phones don’t work." That’s how Academy Award-winning screenwriter Chris McQuarrie described his new action/thriller "The Way of the Gun" at the Los Angeles premiere.

This twisting crime drama about two cold-blooded career criminals is McQuarrie’s directorial debut and stars Ryan Phillippe, Benicio Del Toro, Juliette Lewis, James Caan, Taye Diggs and Nicky Katt -- all of whom were present at the LA event.

"It’s just exciting. You just hope it does well," said Juliette Lewis, who plays a pregnant surrogate mother in the film.

Phillippe and Del Toro play the two criminals and all goes awry when they kidnap Lewis’ character. Phillippe said of the role, "It was fun. A lot of fun. I felt like I was 11 years old again, playing cops and robbers."

But it was no child’s play when it came to gearing up for the film. Phillippe explained, "We worked with a Navy SEAL, who was Chris McQuarrie’s brother, and also a SWAT team member. We trained pretty extensively, actually."

Geoffrey Lewis, father of Juliette, was also present at the premiere. The elder Lewis stars in "Way of the Gun" along with his daughter and was more than proud of her performance.

Juliette Lewis says audiences should see the film because "If you love the art of filmmaking, you’ll like this movie. If you’re sick of the predictable story plot, go see the 'The Way of the Gun' because you’ll never predict the next turn."

"The Way of the Gun" rides in to theaters Sept. 8.

It is rumored that Ryan and Sarah Michelle Gellar will have a cameo in I Know 3.

"There are rumors that Ryan might be returning in I know what you did last summer 3.Here are the rumors: It has been rumoured that the killer at the end of I Still Know wasn't Ben Willis.... it is Ryan Phillipe's charactor, Barry - don't ask how they will explain that! AND Julie James dies in the beginning, and Ray is after the killer for revenge, but the killer turns out to be... Barry Cox."
NOTE: This seems very unlikely, but you never know.

Thanks to Nautica7mk who posted this sighting on the message board.

"Reese Witherspoon was on the set along with Freddie Prinze Jr. while visiting Sarah Michelle Gellar in Harvard Square(Boston) and several other locations while Ms. Gellar is finishing her upcoming feature "Harvard Man." Neither Reese or Freddie are a part of that movie. Ryan wasn't there. At least, I don't think so. "

"Oh, this all took place July 30th. They will remain in Boston for a couple or so days, so if any of you live near by, see if you can catch them. It won't be hard to find the locations, they have signs that basically look like construcitons signs, and you'll see trailers. The film has a very good/popular cast, and since Sarah and Reese are good friends, Reese might still be there."

"Here's some good stuff you won't see anywhere else. A trailer for this new Ryan Phillipe/Benicio Del Toro flick was made but has sinced been yanked in favour of a 'short term push' closer to the September 8th release. Nevertheless some people have managed to get a copy and above are some stills from that now canned preview. Even more interesting though is that image on the right - the poster one-sheet which has since been rejected by the MPAA because it contains two guns in it (their policy means you can only have one gun per ad). The film is almost complete and its already been revealed that one sequence to watch out for toward the end involves a gun battle in a brothel - hmm. Thanks to 'Fumblenuts'."
