Brutal hardcore from Hoofddorp, near Amsterdam. They mix fast oldschool hardcore with kickass metal kinda moshparts in the style of Ryker’s. The music is really great. The lyrics aren’t really my cup of coffee though. Now I don’t think it’s really up to me to be the PC hardcorekid who’s gonna preach what’s right or wrong. I do want to say though that I don’t agree with the lyrics and personally I think lyrics do play a big part in music. Even though the music is really great I don’t like listening to a band whose ideas offend me. OK, to let you be able to form your own opinion. Here are the lyrics to two of Standard’s songs:

I know singer Marijn is for a 100% behind his lyrics. Whether you agree or not, they sure have a lot of anger in it
