Originality is a word not used too much in my reviews lately. Buy hey, let's go nuts! This is a pretty original effort Shorttime made with this 7". This single has been out for a while now, but I saw them recently play live where they really blew me away! They're gonna release a 10" soon and their liveperformance together with the four songs on this piece of vinyl make me more than curious.
Mixing really fast oldschool hardcore, intelligent lyrics, great dynamics and melody Shorttime always sounds explosive. The music has an uniquely tragic, but hopeful atmosphere to it. Even in the slow parts Shorttime succeeds in maintaining a constant energypacked feeling.
The cover is rad too, ever seen a 7" closed with velcro? Here it is! To sum it all up: great stuff all around.
