Imagine hardcore-metal crossover with some Primus/Korn/Tool/Earth Crisis influences and picture a singer who’s combining Earth Crisis-style shout parts with Eddie Vedder-like singing. You might be very close to Craven. A pretty original bunch of guys, this five-piece from Rotterdam. They’ve already been around for a couple of years, but were known as Natural Born Loserz before.
When ex-Deuce guitarist Ilja joined the band they decided to change the name to the more grown-up sounding Craven. And that’s also what their music sounds like: a mature, professional and original mixture of intense music.
