FAIRYTALE

one upon a time, there was a little boy called adam. This little boy enjoyed nothing better than to listen to his fave bands placebo, type o negative and nine inch nails. One day he was out walking in the town where he lived which was called the othersidesville, he was listening to marilyn manson on his walkman. suddenly, he came across a rather pitiful young girl in an adidas tracksuit. She was searching in the mud for one of her gold ear-rings. Adam stopped to help.
"are you alright?" he asked.
"i can't find my earring" she sobbed. Adam picked her up and asked her name.
"my names beth" she replied, "and i live at the castle."
"The castle?" exclaimed adam in disbelief.
"wow, are you a, are you the princess?"
"yep" replied Beth in a rather chirpy, cocky tone.
"and i lost my ear ring". Adam helped her find it in the mud and took her to his small cottage in the forest.
"You can get cleaned up here" he said, and princess beth had a lovely warm bath.
Adam in the mean time was playing his placebo record really loudly in the other room. Beth, curious as to what this strange noise was, went to enquire.
"what is this song?" she asked.
"nancy boy by a band called placebo" said adam, thrusting the CD case into Beths' hand.
"wow" she exclaimed, "i've never heard anything like it before."
"don't you like music?" asked adam, in disbelief.
"it's not that, i've just never been given the opportunity to listen like this before"
"Oh" replied adam "
well, you can stay and listen for a while if you like".
"could i really?" asked beth.
"of course, and your clothes are ruined so put these on." Adam handed princess beth a nirvana t shirt and some green combat trousers. She stayed there until midnight, when Adam took her home. They walked hand in hand in the moonlight and they reached the castle gates.
"it was great meeting you" said beth,
"and you" replied adam.
"i don't know if i'll ever see you again" sighed beth.
"why?" asked adam.
" its my father, he does'nt like me seeing boys unless they are royalty" she sighed once more.
"oh ok, well, erm...." And with that, and a tear in his eye, adam turned and ran deep into the forest, sat on a log and cried his heart out. He sat, staring at the brightest star in the sky, wondering if beth was too.
He stood up and let out the saddest sigh ever heard from a boy. And headed for home. Sat awake at 4am, listening to radiohead, when all of a sudden, there was a knock at the door.
"Go away" was his answer.
"Its' me, please let me in". it was Beth! Adam ran to the door and thrust it open, and beth threw herself into his arms.
"My father wants me dead for wearing this darn nirvana t shirt" she sobbed.
"well, you can stay here as long as you want" replied a jubilant Adam.
"how about forever?" and with that, they sat and watched the sunrise, and were married the very next day.
Adam and Princess Beth lived for a long time in the cottage in the woods, and were given the news long ago that Beths father had given up looking. They grew old together and watched their children grow up to form some of the finest rock bands the world has ever seen.
