Vodka Mix
This is really more of a water and alcohol mix, which can get to 20%, before distilation, this isn't as strong as normal vodka but it's a really cheap way to get wasted.
Equiptment:
1)Demijohn, or a gallon sized glass bottle
2)A plastic bubbler
3)A bored demijohn cork
4)Sterilizer
5)High alcohol wine yeast
6)Sugar
7)Activated charcoal- not nessescary, just a luxury
8)Yeast Nutrient- makes it work better, same as above
9)Hydrometer- luxury
10)Campden Tablets- luxury
11)Water
Method:
1.
sterilize all of the above, apart from the yeast, the nutrient, the charcoal,the sugar, and the campden tablets, and the water.
2.
put in the sugar (appproximately 1.5 kilos), water (just less than a gallon), and the yeast nutrient (a level table spoon full)
3.
mix, and use the hydrometer, as indicated in the instructions, record this reading
4.
add the yeast, shake it, half fill the bubbler with water, and push the end through the cork, and stick the cork into the demijohn
5.
leave untill it stops bubbling through the bubbler which will take a few weeks, shking it every now and then. don't worry if the concoction doesn't bubble for a few days.
6.
add campden tablets (crushed) then shake it and leave it fro 1 to 2 days
7.
Add 1 0r 2 teaspoons of activated charcoal, shak it and then leave it to settle
8.
syphen of the liquid of the top and bottle it
9. take the specific grabvity again, the difference will be the alcoholic content
this brewing can be rewardind, at 50p per litre if it is done right.
