River Directions and Information:
Please note the hiking directions are not precise. I will revise them
this summer. Please visit Swimming Holes East.
PLEASE - Do Not Litter!
Pick up any litter you see and pack it out!
Beware: There are rattlesnakes and bears.
This is NOT a formally recognized nude setting so be courteous of other hikers
and skinney dip-hike at your own risk!
There is a nice trout farm nearby - watch for signs.

Direction
From South:
Take 340 N. to Luray
Take 211 E. to 522 S.
Take 522 S. to 211/522 to
Sperryville
From North:
Take 340 S. to Front Royal
At Front Royal take 522 S. to
522/211 to Sperryville
From DC:
Take 66 W. to 29 W.
Take 29 W. to Warrenton
From Warrenton take 211 W/S.
To Sperryville
At Sperryville take 522 S. for
1 Mile. Turn Right onto 231 S.

Take 231 S. till you get
to the turn off to Rt. 670
Take Rt. 670 W. past Syria to the Rose River Trailhead. Park and hike
up the path, which is an abandoned road.
Hike along the road for a couple of miles until you come to metal sign about
waist high. Turn by the sign and hike along the river. There
are several swimming pools.
Take off you clothes and Enjoy!
