i drink diet cokes and i hope the world will be a better place..
i hope your eyes won't focus on the way i play with my hair or the
redness of my skin.
i wear my favorite dress, pretend it's new..hope you don't see the
stains on the sleeves
you've never seen me like this, you say, i'm lovely and i'm thoughtful,
there's no one else quite like me. You say you spot my whimsy,
you say you see my soul and i make you laugh, i make you think.
you're happy i'm ok. and i smile and try to keep your eyes from
wandering to the edges of the mask and i bend myself to keep you from
figuring out my tricks.
