History: As a high school student Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider while attending a public exhibition on safe nuclear power. The result; Peter gained the proportionate strength and agility of an arachnid! Peter at one time was a wrestler, to raise money for his aunt and uncle. One day after a big fight, a criminal ran by Peter and Peter did not try to stop him because he figured it was not his responsibility. Later that night, Peter got home and found his Uncle dead. Peter, furious with anger, ran off to the warehouse where the police had the murderer heild up at. When he got there, he found out that the murderer was the same man that he had failed to stop earlier that day. Ever since that day, Peter has realized that with great strength comes great responsibility, and that is what motivates him to put on that Spider costume every day.

Peter is married to Mary Jane Watson. He works at the Daily Bugle taking the best pictures of Spiderman around town. Most people are unaware of his secret about being Spiderman. Some though, like Norman Osborn (the Green Goblin) do know.
