Spidey Back to the Top

How did Spiderman comics, despite the great new titles, manage to come near the top of the list, fourteen, sixteen and eighteen? Most sources point to a few causes, that all worked together to get Spidey back up. First, the Spiderman movie is underway, with cast, crew and script being put together. Second, which is at the moment a bigger factor than the Spidey movie, is the new Spiderman game for N64, and Playstation. It was said that all of the games were close to being sold out within one day of being put on the shelves. Last, the new Spiderman book, Ultimate Spiderman, whose 1st comic which has been out for a month or two has already tripled from it's original cost!

What to expect now? When comics get to the bottom, all the can do is come up, but what happens after they are up, and can't go any higher? They get more fans. The Ultimate Spiderman book has sold extremely well, but not just to old Spidey fanboys. The new comic has also been selling out to comic fans that have never touched a Spidey book in their life. Hopefully, these new comic fans will stay, and enjoy other comics as well, which would of course help out the whole comics industry.
