Heavyweight contender Andrew Golota blew away Marcus Rhode in three rounds at Guangzhou, China. Rhode was on the deck twice in the second round and twice in the third before the fight was stopped at 2:19. Golota, who reportedly pocketed $500,000, improves to 35-4 (29 KOs). --fightnews.com
It is rumored that Jay Larkin of Showtime proposed a fight in August that would feature Golota against the winner of Holyfield vs. Ruitz. Of course as most of you already know, the fight between Holyfield and Ruitz will be for the WBA title that Lennox Lewis vaccated. This would give Golota an excellent oppurtinity to become champion. Nothing is official yet. for no it is just a rumored fight. More news on this will be provided as soon as possible.
