CHOCOLATE
Umm. I love chocolate too. I must say, that for all the weird and stupid
names they give
chocolate here, the Japanese make some pretty good stuff. New
chocolate products appear
on the shelves like every other week here and the
competition (for weird names?) is fierce.
Week from October 3,
1996:

When I was 12, I had a Little
Pocky......

Now I have a Men's Pocky!
(Small print on
package: "Crispy pretzel dipped in dark chocolate for
the intelligent
connoisseur who enjoys the finer points in life.")
Week From Feb. 18, 1997:

So wait, it's an "ex-Bourbon stick chocolate" Lemon
Milk flavored Pickle??
Or was that a Bourbon Pickle with Lemon Milk
filling?
But where does the "chocolate" part come in? Somebody please
explain.
Week from December 30, 1997:
This is the "Mini" verson of the "Big
Bar".
Well, in the U.S. there is "Jumbo Shrimp".
Some Early Selections:

"Can I offer you a Creamy Ball?"

For all those who missed that cruise to Guadalajara
- "Vessel in the Fog" chocolate.

One of my personal favorites: "Mother
Stick"

"Hey, look what comes in the Collon
package!!"

"A lovely and tiny twig KOEDA". Let's get a close up
of the fine print:

Talk about a defined target audience.
