To all members and non-members of the F.E.M. Organization:

F.E.M. is, rather obviously, short for both female and feminism. These two words governed our thoughts when we created the F.E.M. Organization. Our goal was to create a community of females that could interact with each other, express ideas through our site, and spread the word about feminism.

But F.E.M. is an anti-chauvinist site, what does that have to do with it? you might ask. Well, though many may not realize it, feminism is almost the exact same thing as anti-chauvinism. However, feminism is NOT the female equivalent of male chauvinism! The reason is this: the feminist campaigns for equality of the genders. On the contrary, the male chauvinist strives to hold a position of superiority in society. He believes in male supremacy. If the world was rid of the retarded asses that call themselves chauvinists, then equality would result. Hence the goal of feminism. So although anti-chauvinism seems a negative term at first glance, it really is very similar, if not identical, to the goals of feminism.

At our site, we welcome both females and males alike. Although we built it to be aimed at females, we ask that the feminist males out there not to be daunted by the page decor. =) You are very much appreciated in the female community, considering that there are few of you out there.
