This is a story about something that happened to a guy I knew. He had been drinking one afternoon to build up some Dutch Courage, as that evening he was due to meet his girlfriends VERY posh parents. Suitably oiled, he arrived for the meeting, and had dinner with the folks, along with a few drinks. After dinner, the Mother suggested that they all retire to the lounge to watch some TV, and have another drink. The guy in question sat down on the Sofa next to the parents, and started watching the TV, but the next thing that happened was, he coughed, promptly sending a huge globule of phlegm out, which then landed on the TV screen! His girlfriend and her parents looked on, horrified, as he got up, cool as anything, and wiped the green mess of the screen with his sleeve, then sat back down again without saying a word! I'm not sure how this relationship worked out, but that story always makes me laugh!
