A few years ago at a party I came up with my very own magic card trick. I took a deck of cards and got one of the girls to pick one (it's also a great way to meet women too). I told her to show everybody the card and put in back anywhere in the deck and without letting me see it. Then I shuffled the deck several times and told her to concentrate on the card - always necessary when doing a card trick. Then I dealt the cards face down on a table in the shape of a cross. It can be any shape, a star, circle, a square or whatever. Then I told her to pick a card and turn it over and I said "Is that your card?". Of course it wasn't, I had no idea what I was doing. She said "No" so I said "but if that was your card, you'd be pretty impressed". I figure since there are 52 cards in a pack, it should work once in 52 tries. I've done it so far 19 times without success but when somebody turns over the right card they'll never figure it out and they'll think I'm a regular David Copperfield.
