So, in case you haven't figured it out, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is kind of a twisted comic, but ya know, it's really very good. It's not just violence, and if words bore you and you only want to see killing, I think you're too stupid to appreciate this comic. (No offense, people. ::smiles::)

In my opinion, Mr. Jhonen Vasquez, the writer and artist of JTHM, seems to be quite an intelligent man. A genius maybe, heh. Just read the damn comic. You'll understand. I like his view on sleep. I've never really thought about it before I started reading this comic. Sleep is such a waste of time, and I think it's kind of a human weakness that we must be slaves to our bodies' needs. We could be doing much more with the time we waste sleeping. I'm not saying you should stay up all night doing productive things, because no matter how much you detest sleep, you still need it. Your body needs it. Probably to maintain sanity. I don't sleep much, you see. ::grins stupidly::

I didn't start reading JTHM until last summer (1999). So, I haven't been a fan very long, but it didn't take long for me to become so obsessed with it. I've never really liked comics. Perhaps because I didn't know there were ones like this. Anyway, I'm babbling.

f o r short):

There's nothing much to say about him. He's kind of self-explanatory. He kills people. Usually assholes. Sometimes random people. But when someone laughs at you and calls you names, you feel like gutting them with steel hooks and nailing them to the wall don't you? Don't you?! Oh god, tell me that's normal...!

Here's a little speech he makes after some woman calls him "wacky"

Sometimes he's a pretty smart guy. Here's an example of that.

He gets a bit suicidal sometimes...I won't tell you if he ever kills himself. I don't want to spoil it for you.


H a p p y Noodle B o y:

Happy Noodle Boy is a comic that Nny himself draws. He's um...interesting...

He is an odd but very funny little noodle guy...

Don't we all feel like yelling at toasters sometimes?

Um...yes he is an odd one.

Hmm...I don't have much to say about her. She kicked Johnny's ass in one issue. Jhonen now has a full color comic out about Devi, called I Feel Sick- A Book About a Girl.

I only have one picture of her. Here it is.


S q u e e:

Squee is Nny's neighbor, who has probably been emotionally scarred for life by him. If he was real, that is. His bear's name is Shmee. (Just so ya know.) Jhonen also has a comic featuring Squee. It's called Squee!

How cute. (Oh god I hate the word cute.)

Okay, so he's not exactly a character involved in the whole Johnny thing. But he's in every issue. This is him. If you want to know what he's like, just click on the little linkies.

A n n e Gwish:

Now, she's also not exactly part of the whole Johnny thing, but she's not in every issue (thank god). Anne Gwish is this stupid "Goth" girl that is basically a walking stereotype, and not to mention a hypocrite. She reminds me of some of the people on Reality Check of the Week. No, I didn't scan any pictures of her, because she's just not worthy enough. Ha. Anyway, I'm done blabbing about her. I don't like her. (Yes, I realize she's just a character, but the sad thing is there are people like her out there. ::smile::)


Now we get to the part you all know you want to see. BLOOD AND GORE! Okay, that was sarcasm. Anyway, these are a few of Nny's victims.

Just some guy being shocked as someone rings the doorbell...

Some kind of child molester man that was at the mall...

...and an idiot named Dillon that pissed Johnny off by kicking the back of his seat in the movie theatre...
