Procession, 9/Jan/95

I'm sharing a house with these guys. One guy, who reminds me of Rodney, has a large old television which he might sell to me, if only I can come up with the money.

Later, in a busy street market, I join a crowd watching a kind of fireworks display. I start seeing crucifixes in the fireworks and decide I'm having a religious epiphany.

Next, I go to a church service, and before I know it I'm some kind of standard bearer for this procession which starts wandering through the streets. I make note that most of the congregation are women and girls. The lead woman in our procession takes us through various back streets, until she takes us through the house I was in earlier and into Rodney's room. I tell her at this stage that we shouldn't go through here, because it's inhabited - someone's home. The woman says that it used to be just another thoroughfare, as far as she can remember...

I guess this one's about my TV viewing habits and my materialism being a kind of religion. Women seem to feature pretty heavily in this religion though, hey?
