Dreams

Home Dreams #1 (two dreams about mum and dad's house)

In #1 I wake up one morning as mum and dad's, but I'm the only one home. I'm wearing a very flashy dressing gown. It's like I own the place, and I'm confortable and confident in my ownership.

Is it possible for dreams to be ironic?

In #2 I'm back in my old bedroom, and I peel the wallpaper away so I can see all the old bits of writing and stickers that I put on the wall when I was a kid. I read some of it, fascinated - like my youth regained. The memories flood back. But then the wall starts showing brick, and bricks come through. The wall seems to crumble.

I guess you can't get a message any clearer than that - my crumbling youth!

These happened not long after mum and dad moved out of the house at Bridges Avenue, a house they'd lived in for 32 years.
