This concert was the best thing I've seen since Pantera in January 98. Amen didn't make it pass the customs so to bad I guess.
Slipknot are very cool guys (I met # 4,1,8 and 2). My friend and I waited in front of the Spectrum four hours to meet the three bands. The kicked major ass. They were all over the place. They played Sic,Eyeless, Purity, Wait and Bleed, Surfacing, Spit it out and the hidden track. They really kick the shit out of you!! Go see them. By the way nine guys is a lot of people to watch.
Then came Machine Head. They're soooo fuckin heavy. A lot of people in Montreal were there for Machine head exclusively. It got pretty violent during songs like The Blood the sweat the tears, Old and Take my scars.. Rob sang a couple of songs without is guitar. Dave is way better than Chris. And Rob's growling sounds a lot angrier. Here's what they played: Desire to fire, Take my scars, The blood the sweat the tears,Ten ton hammer, Old, From this day, Davidian and Nothing left. So to put it briefly they pretty much crushed us and left.
And then came Coal Chamber who I must admit could have been better. Loco was a good starter (since everyone knows it) but Dez kept on making people sing (Let me hear you!!) so half of the "Me Locos" were missing. Then Big truck (nice). No home, well it was ok but they just could have picked heavier songs. Bradley was a crowd pleaser. Then Not living (short scream in the middle). Notion was a good sing-a-long. First and Clock got the old fans moving a lot. It seems Tyler's song was only boring to me( the crowd went nuts). I ( that would be one of the best). Oddity( pretty violent). SWAY was the best song but why in the end when everyone's tired.
So the main problem was the setlist (where were Unspoiled, What's in your mind, El Cu Cuy and Feed my dreams) and Dez's short screaming. Nadja's cool but she's not Rayna (she's prettier though). I suppose the missing songs and the constant setlist are due to her.
