this review is for the show on october first at the house of blues in
orlando. ok this is a long long story!! when my friends marianna, darren and
i all got to the show there were a couple ppl aready in line to get in so we
sat our happy asses down right behind em and prepared for the wait. about 5
minutes later marianna decided she was bored and went to the virgin megastore
that was right accross from where we were. so eventually she comes back all
excited like saying that she met bubba, coal chamber's bus driver. he offered
her backstage passes if we found him later on and so while we were talking
about finding him later dez comes walkin past everyone saying hello and such.
i was taken completely by surprise cuz i was looking at a coal chamber
article in a mag then all of the sudden dez is right next to me. it was
weird. so after that we decided to go and try to find bubba. we didn't
succeed, but we did see meegs & his chick and mikey & his chick walking
around. we didn't talk to them cuz they seemed busy and we didn't wanna
bother them. so we went to the show which was fun!! my friends and i were all
front row!!! amen wasn't bad at all. they were pretty fun!! next came
slipknot, now i'm not a huge fan, but they're pretty cool. i was really
scared cuz i knew the crowd was gonna be nuts. so the curtain opens for
slipknot and EVERYBODY started going nuts. they provided the most frightening
aspect of the evening when the security barricade started lifting up. i was
worried for my safety. so anyhoo, that was fun!!! so the one gas mask guy
started crowd surfing but i didn't touch him or whatever til he about fell on
my head. >:\ so then the singer said something about seeing our fingers so i
took it upon myself to flick off jim (((#4))) since he was right in front of
me. then he did that whole "no no" finger shake thing at me. now THAT was a
bit disconcerting considering he had the scariest mask in my opinion. so
yeah. i would definately say slipknot stole the show tho. so then machinehead
started playing and i was kinda thinkin "ok" the whole time. it wasn't nearly
as bad as during slipknot. so that ended and then coal chamber played. i was
going nuts when the intro to "loco" started. just nuts. the curtain was still
closed at that point so the anticipation levels were sky high. the show was
great!!! they played 12 songs, 8 from coal chamber and 4 from chamber music
which i think were already listed so i won't go into it. so after the show we
were walking around and i met 3 guys from slipknot. i swear they have to be
the nicest guys i've ever met and i've met a lot of kickass ppl after shows.
jim remembered me from the show and we talked for a couple mins. joey (((the
drummer))) was so cool. and short too, but cool. so after that we found the
busses and figured out which was coal chambers and knocked on the door and
there was bubba. so we talked to him for a bit. he intoduced us to tonz of
ppl, including a couple guys from amen and KoRn's drum tech. eventually mikey
and dez came out. mikey came out first and my friends and i talked to him for
about 5 mins. it was cool cuz all these other ppl were waiting for him and we
were just talking about tonz of stuph. he told us about his hair dye and how
rayna had had her baby a couple days ago and how he'd go insane w/o his
grrlfriend on tour w/him. and he had a cup that he talked into cuz nobody
could ever hear him. and he traded a guy i know from other shows about 6 of
his bracelets for a backstreet boys watch. he said "hellyeah i want that
backstreet boys shit!" it was funny. so i got one bracelet from mikey too.
and then dez came out drunk off his nuts. it was pretty funny. i just kinda
stood back and watched dez. he was nuts! but in a good way. so that's pretty
much it. dez started walking around and we didn't wanna follow him around
like stupid puppy dogs so we took off. it was great!!
