The Nautica Stage in the Flats in Cleveland. The stage is outside, by the
river, boats floatin' by 'n shit, perfect weather for a concert, it was
great! First Amen came out, put on a great show! I was suprised, the first
band usually gets booed off the stage, but the people loved them. Then came
Slipknot, WHAT A BAND!! They tore shit up! The coolest part was, some
ASSHOLES in the crowd that didn't like Slipknot because they think they
stole Mushroomhead's style (which is bullshit), were causin' shit, and one
dude from Slipknot jumped off stage and started punching this asshole in
the crowd, it was GREAT!! the concert stopped and the lights turned on, it
finally broke up, and it REALLY fired up the band, so they played even
HARDER! The taunting still continued in the back of the crowd by a couple
more ASSHOLES, so after their gig, the guys from Amen and Slipknot came out
after them and crowded around them. A mini-fight broke out, and a couple
people were arested, and that was that, pretty cool though. Then Machine
Head came out, and TOTALLY blew up the stage, kicked alot of ass. When they
finished pounding the Cleveland sky, Coal Chamber's curtain dropped, and
the surge rushed through the crowd. It took them about a half an hour to
set up. Some pussys started a small fire in the pit because they were cold
(it was only about 50F), it was put out just before Chamber came out. Their
theme music started, the curtain fell to the ground, and they got LOCO! I
swear to GOD, this was the coolest experience I EVER had. I was in the pit,
in front of Nadja (knock-out, but I still miss Rayna), I was singing with
Dez word for word, the coolest part was, he saw me singing with him (I'm
6'5", hard to miss), he was pointing at me and smiling, I was jumpin' the
phuk around, kickin' pit ass, constantly picking people up when they asked
me (because they thought I was a ladder for surfin') my arms were dead, but
I stayed in the whole time, Sway was the last song, no bullshit awncore
(sp?) they just ended with Sway, that part was cool! I have been waiting to
see them since Ozzfest '98, and they finally made it back, I LOVED it! This
was the third time I saw Coal Chamber, and this was the most fired-up I
have ever seen them. They were dead ON, and kicked the crowd's ASS! I will
never forget this day. When they come to your town, don't be a pussy, GO
SEE THEM! SHOW YOUR LOVE!!!
