Coal Chamber...Machine Head...Slipknot...Amen...
Sept 10th, harpos in detroit
Amen took the stage, and i wasnt disappointed...i hadnt heard a lot of good things about them, but they werent bad...
Slipknot came up (after a long set change), and they tore the place up like i had never seen before...i only wish they had played longer..
Machine Head was next, and they were simply amazing...Harpos is cool, cuz the stage is like 6 feet high, with no barricade, so you can jump on stage...and the band is right in your face....and Machine head took advantage of this...Robb crowed surfed twice, and the vibe was great the whole show...
Next up, of course was coal chamber...they had a new intro, which i beleive was from "a nightmare before christmas", then the old halloween intro...Nadja came out, then dez and mike, then meegs...they busted right into loco...i have seen coal chamber 7 times before this...and they have never sounded better...dez was singing great, and the music was dead on...
songs the played(i tried to get the order close):
loco
big truck
no home
bradley
first
not living
mist
i
clock
notion
pig
oddity
sway
i thinks thats all they played...it was great to hear pig live...they have few new things added, and nadja was a great replacement for rayna...but it wasnt the same without her...
i gotta say though...as much as i love coal chamber (the new cd is great), machine head stole the show...
