i went to see coal chamber and type o negative in detroit march 1st. I really
wanted to see type o negative because they are my favorite band. I was
suppost to meet some guy and was going to get backstage but I never found him
and I was pretty pissed. Anyways, they were playing with some bands called
Deadlights and Full Devil Jacket. Deadlights were pretty good but they
weren't ecceptional. Full Devil Jacket was terrible and people were yelling
for them to get off the stage. Well finally Coal Chamber was setting up and
they put this big sheet like thing in front of the stage but you could see
through it a little bit and they were putting up crazy lights and stuff. I
was a couple people back and i wanted to get closer but the damn people
wouldnt move. So there was this crazy light show on the big sheet thing and
was this meditation-like music and then Dez starts singing "Sway" and every
one was singing along to "the roof is on fire" and then as he screamed burn
the big sheet thing dropped down and there they all were going crazy. I
almost died because when everyone started moving around I got to the front
and was like 6 feet away from Meegs. Well further through the set i was
getting mauled in the crowd and so i noticed this beefy guy looking at my
boobs so I figured I'd ask him if I could get on his shoulders. So I was in
the second row on this guys shoulders and me and Dez made eye contact a whole
bunch of times and I about died. I think they finished the set with "loco"
but Im not sure. No no I think it was "Big Truck". Then Type O Negative came
out and played a decent set. After the show me and the guy I went with went
to go and ewait by the tour buses to see if we could get some autographs or
pics or anything. We waited for about half an hour when Rayna came out. She
signed a bunch of autographs and then I asked for a picture with her and she
was all like "Sure" so I got a pic with Rayna and I was happy as hell. Then I
waited another #@(*&%$)@(# hour and a hlaf for Type O and then they finally
came out and I got a pic with Peter Steele. So overall it was worth the 22.50$
