(standing) John Campbell Cheuvront, brother to Lafayette
and Newton, s/o Columbus Marion Cheuvront and Rebecca Elizabeth Sommerville.
The seated fellow might be Lafayette, John Campbell's older brother, or
his brother-in-law James Harbaugh (tentatively id'ed by his son in 2001).
The photo was taken just before John entered the
Navy in WWI, shortly before his death.

Debra didn't know if she was Mary, Hattie or Minnie.
Identified, we think!
Suzanne Weegar (sweegar@neo.rr.com)
has the original photo. She discovered the name "Mary" on the original
by removing some old tape and reading the faint inscription under it in
the sunlight. That would probably make her Mary Molly deCheuvront
b. January 02, 1881. The name deCheuvront is a mystery, and she seems to
be the only one who adopted that version. She married James Harbaugh.

These are enlargements from a double portrait.
On the back of this photo it reads:
"Martin Cheuvront" and in another hand:
"Uncle Luther's Brother"
but does not identify which
man is Martin, or who other fellow is. We think this might be a
portrait of Andrew Martin, who died in 1888, and either John Oliver or
David Enoch Cheuvront, perhaps Luther Clyde.
