These were Cheuvronts and Cookmans that either appeared in the WLCheuvront main texts, were found in muster rolls, or via the National Archives.  Unfortunately while moving this page to the new site a reference file for this info was accidentally deleted; but what references I was able to find again are noted.
These are all the Cheuvronts and Cookmans we could find who served in the Civil War, but undoubtedly there were many more.  Please email LYNE if you have service information about one of our ancestors, or even a family story to relate!

The Civil War was fought about one hundred and thirty years ago, a much shorter period of time, in reality, than one might usually think.   Just as an interesting little point I thought I'd mention that I, Lyne Raff (only aged 37) actually knew someone--my great-grandmother Clara Cookman Cheuvront--whose father fought in this War.
