My name is Lanny and my home is
Traphill, North Carolina. A very
small community nestled in the
foothills of the Blue Ridge
Mountains.
This has been home to
me since birth.
With the
exception of 20 years in the
city.
I returned to the peace
and tranquility of home due to
health related problems.
I am a
former teacher (5 years) and in
management of a major US Airline
(20 years).
At the present I am single after 16
years of marriage.
One son who
is the most important person in my
life (age 23).
My beliefs and my
personality...well to know about
that, one must look within their
own
heart.
My hobbies are crafts,
gardening (both flowers &
vegetables), remodeling the
homeplace, travel, webtv, and
making new friends.
I
also have four cockatiels. Sunnie &
Pepper (parents) Lacy & Cookie
(siblings) and Bingo who now
resides in Maryland with my
Mother.
THE FALLS
The waterfalls at the park are
beautiful, however the height of
them prooves to be fatal to
many.
All streams in the park
are fresh water trout stocked.
At the bottom of the falls is a
cool crisp place to take a dip or
for children to wade in crystal
clear mountain water.
(As a
young teen this was the place to
take that someone special.
It
was not a State Park then)
