Earlier,
I was checking the color of my tongue in the mirror as I slowly moved into
the left-turn lane, and I noticed that the next car had a bumper sticker
that said "There's No Excuse For Partner Abuse" in rainbow colors, and
I was happy because a Swans song had come on so perhaps I was bobbing my
head, and my tongue was a nice pink. Then the light turned green and as
we started to move I noticed that the passenger in the other car was looking
at me with (what looked like) curiosity and a half-smile, and she and her
friend who was talking on the phone had cute, severe buzzcuts like that
girl in Go Fish, and so of course they looked like eighteen-year-
old boys, and I kinda smiled back. And that made me happy.
