It was fun! Gypsy 83 was so good. However, afterwards I hit another Beemer. It was stacked parking which is always a tricky thing when it's time to leave. Luckily it was just a love tap and it was the other driver who was saying You're good You're good Keep going Keep going. Then *tap* I mouthed Ooopsie. He mouthed Don't worry about it and gave me a thumbs up. Heh. So anyway, umm, save for Kett Turton (who plays Clive in the movie), I think I was the only darkling in the whole place... *sigh* so sad. I'm not a hundred percent sure because I was sitting in the upper tiers of the amphitheater, but I believe the boi was wearing a Love-Will-Tear-Us-Apart t-shirt when the director introduced them on the stage before the screening. And he was probably just being in character... although the t-shirt did look as old and faded as the ones in my closet. Hmmm. Oh yes yes my pretties, an open air amphitheater. I don't think I've ever watched a movie under the stars before. And I've never been to the Ford before either. It's quite a lovely venue, a smaller version of the Hollywood Bowl just across the freeway. But back to Gypsy 83-- I hope it gets picked up for national distribution. If and when it does you really should try to see it because it is sooo Ours. It opens with Cities In Dust, right, followed by lots of the Cure, and then Echo, and then Joy Division... it's just Aaaaahhhh!!! so pretty. And most of all it has Gypsy and Clive... and We know them both oh so well. I
am so fucking glad I went.
