The new machine has been shipped out. It has a 1 GHz Pentium III processor and motherboard, and a 20 GB hard drive... but this is geek talk and boring. I'm idly tracking it as it makes its way across the country to my door. It was in Des Moines, IA at six this morning and should be here sometime this Friday. Its name will be Unlikely. I've
already emptied this one. All the files I've decided to keep are in a pile
of floppies now: Adrift and three others, a few random pictures,
a few random text files, and of course the rambling Sand/Sea. The
rest I deleted with a mixture of glee, trepidation, sadness... and I guess,
a sense of liberation.
