Skid Row Bassist Proud Not To Be Sober

WEYMOUTH, Mass. (Wireless Flash) – Some ’80s-era hair bands may have mellowed with age but not Skid Row: Its members are proud to be druggies. Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan says the band is “proud not to be sober” and says there’s more booze on the tour bus than food. It’s not just a party, it’s a duty. Bolan says he feels obligated to keep rock and roll debauchery alive, especially since many other peers have petered out. Skid Row starts a tour with Vince Neil and Tesla on June 7 and Bolan believes his band will be the only one getting just as wild offstage as on. But while the band may have plenty of drugs and booze on hand for the tour, they won’t have former lead singer Sebastian Bach. He was replaced in 1995 by John Solinger but Bolan says most fans hardly notice. Skid Row’s latest project is a new single, “Thick As The Skin,” available at skidrowonline.com
