NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Ashley Judd is getting good buzz for her work in Divine Secrets Of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood but she’s more excited about a chance to play the Catwoman. Judd tells TV Guide that she’s dying to play someone “independently villainous” and is waiting for the script.
LOS ANGELES – Limp Bizkit may have spent the last few months looking for a new guitarist, but now frontman Fred Durst is begging departed guitarist Wes Borland to come back. In fact, on a recent post on LimpBizkit.com, Durst gave out Borland’s e-mail and implored fans to mail him and tell him to come back to “his family.” However, Durst admitted that he’s not even sure if Borland’s address, tongueofcolicab@earthlink.net, still works.
BAKU, Azerbaijan – Pope John Paul came face-to-face with a man on crutches claiming to be “the Prince of the World” when he rushed the Pontiff at a recent mass in Azerbaijan. The “Prince,” claiming to be a visionary, was quickly led away, but was later allowed to slip the Holy Father a note and kiss his hand.
NEW YORK – Diane Keaton is clowning around with painting. Her upcoming book, Clown Paintings (Power House Books), features 65 portraits of clowns done by Woody Allen, Don Knotts, Lisa Kudrow, Jay Leno and Robin Williams.
ATLANTA – America’s next big cartoon star could be a Japanese hamster named Hamtaro. The furry rodent ’toon is already a big hit in Japan and will debut in America June 3 on the Cartoon Network.
