Beyonce Is Bringing Back The Afro

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Massive afros haven’t been popular for women since the heyday of Angela Davis – but Destiny’s Child diva Beyonce Knowles is going to change that. That’s according to celebrity hairstylist Kimberly Kimble, who designed Beyonce’s big ole afro for the upcoming movie, Austin Powers In Goldmember. Kimble predicts Beyonce’s puffy locks will set off a big trend for women wearing afros because the singer’s look is “so cute.” But you probably won’t see Beyonce wearing a ’fro in real life – the hairstylist says her movie hairdo is actually a wig. Kimble will be unveiling her other hair-raising predictions for the future of hair on Monday (May 27) at the Hair Evolution show at the Key Club in West Hollywood. She’s styling more than 25 heads for the event, which will feature celebrity models like Bring It On’s Gabrielle Union and performances by trapeze artists and acrobats.
