‘Guiding Light’ Stars Guided Through ‘Wedding Story’

BETHESDA, Md. (Wireless Flash) – Here’s a case of art imitating life: Characters from the CBS soap opera Guiding Light are getting hitched on the TLC reality series A Wedding Story. The June 6 episode of A Wedding Story is focusing on Guiding Light characters Reva Shayne and Josh Lewis, who, as fans know, are getting ready to marry for the third time. Although the wedding is fictional, Wedding Story producer Julie Rose says she had plenty of material since Reva was married to Josh twice before – as well as his brother and dad. Another advantage: Usually, A Wedding Story avoids airing anything embarrassing but since the Guiding Light wedding is make-believe, Rose didn’t have to worry. The Guiding Light version of A Wedding Story premieres June 6 and the soap opera will air the wedding the week of June 6-10.
