Mighty Bosstone Gets Even With High School Music Instructor

BOSTON, Mass. (Wireless Flash) – Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones knows the feeling of marching to success – thanks to his high school music instructor. The lead-singer of the Boston-based ska band says his old music teacher recently created a marching band version of the Bosstones’ 1997 hit, “The Impression That I Get” to honor Barrett. What makes the honor even better is that the same teacher actually kicked Barrett out when he was a student. In his words, “I was his most successful student – and the only one he ever kicked out.” But Barrett isn’t looking back much these days. The Bosstones will headline the Warped tour starting June 20 and their new CD, A Jackknife To A Swan, hits stores July 9.
