Father And Son Rappers Rap Positively About Hip Hop

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – A hip-hop father is trying to put a positive spin on the rap biz with his 8-year-old rapping son. Ray Benzino and his son Ray Ray have formed a duo that performs raps which encourage father-son bonding. Sample lyrics include: If ever your travels get lonely/ You’re troubled and feel all alone/ Remember virtues I share with you/ And let your life shine like the son. Benzino says the clean-mouthed music steers clear of topics like murder, drugs and guns, and Ray Ray usually raps about topics in his world – like cartoons, toys, school and little girls. The duo have put together a rap video titled Shine Like My Son and will be releasing the song on the album The Benzino Remix Project June 11 – which also includes contributions from Busta Rhymes, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Snoop Dogg, and Fabolous.
