Travel Tip: ‘Run Relatives Ragged So You Won’t Have to Talk to Them’

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – What do you do when you’re traveling with annoying relatives and are sick of talking to them all the time? Well, world traveler and writer Bruce Northam says plan an exhausting itinerary – it will poop them out. Northam recently went on vacation with his father in England and made sure they walked 20 miles a day, so his father wouldn’t have to bring up his favorite nag subject – Northam’s 10th grade car crashing spree. The tiring technique also works well for kids and he suggests parents plan a long walking or hiking trip, since a dozen or so miles will have kids in bed as soon as the sun goes down. Northam discusses other travel tips in his new book, Globetrotter Dogma (New World Library).
