‘Survivor’ Winner Faces Even Bigger Challenge: Making Americans Like Soccer

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) – Winning $1 million on Survivor: Africa was hard for Ethan Zohn, but now he’s facing an even tougher challenge: making Americans like soccer. The 28-year-old survivor is also a former pro soccer player and has just signed on with ussoccer.com to provide commentary on the World Cup, which starts June 5 in Korea. Zohn is planning to get inside dirt on the U.S. team using the same strategy he used to win Survivor: “The Assistant Coach Approach.” In his words, “Everybody hates the head coach but loves the assistant coach – and he’s the one who hears everyone’s secrets and earns their trust.” Zohn’s World Cup commentary officially begins June 3, two days before the U.S. team’s first match.
