Will ‘Roswell’ Be Revived On Film?

LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – The last episode of Roswell airs Tuesday (May 14) on UPN – but it may not be the end for the cult sci-fi series. Roswell creator Jason Katims says even though the series has been canceled, fans and Hollywood types keep asking him when he’s going to turn it into a movie series, a la Star Trek. Katims admits he likes the idea, but figures many of the show’s cast members may soon become so big, they wouldn’t be available to come back for a movie. Still, you never know, since it took a few years before the Trekkie cult convinced Hollywood to bring the show to the big screen. Meanwhile, Katims says he’s getting some nice sympathy cards from fans, all of whom “...insist they are totally normal and don’t ordinarily get obsessed with a TV show.”
