Flash Lites: Rip ‘N’ Read Pop Culture Recap

BURBANK, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter Kelly is letting the cat out of the bag: Her famous family will come back for a second season of reality shows on MTV. Kelly tells Access Hollywood the Osbournes have already signed a deal with MTV for an undisclosed amount and the next season will probably feature more footage of the family in their home in England.

HONOLULU – Hawaiian popsinger Hoku’s upcoming plans are a mystery – literally. Hoku just finished shooting a pilot for a TV series based on the Nancy Drew novels. The singer told the Honolulu Advertiser that she’s going to play a character that’s “skinny and...kind of mean to Nancy Drew.”

LOS ANGELES – Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire found his Spidey costume a snug fit. In fact, he had to be sewn into it because the zipper broke easily while doing stunts. Tobey says he also had to hold off on water breaks because getting out of the suit to go to the bathroom was an ordeal.

NEW YORK – A sequel to The Princess Diaries is in the works but don’t expect Julie Andrews to play Queen. Cast member Heather Matarazzo was recently overheard at the Gen Arts film festival saying that the sequel’s script has only a cameo appearance by Andrews.
