World’s First Sub-Sea Aviation School Opening Set for November

POINT RICHMOND, Calif. (Wireless Flash) – The world’s first sub-sea aviation school is recruiting people who want to be the Dennis Titos of the deep. This November, Hawkes Ocean Technologies near San Francisco plans to open a school where folks can learn to pilot winged under-water crafts capable of reaching depths of 1,500 feet. A three-day course runs $15,000, and students will pilot a Deep Flight Aviator craft designed by the school’s founder Graham Hawkes. Co-founder Karen Hawkes says the ships maneuver much like an aircraft and students will be able to pilot them the first day. Hawkes says the school plans to take only 20 students, and 10 have already signed up – including an ex-commander of U.S. nuclear submarines.
