LOS ANGELES (Wireless Flash) – Spiders give most folks the creeps – but that isn’t stopping a Los Angeles museum from asking folks to collect the crawly creatures and bring them in. The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County is hoping to get at least 1000 spider samples during its first-ever “Southern California Spider Survey.” Organizers say gardens are a great place to start looking and suggest halting spiders in their tracks by spritzing them with Windex. Still, spider hunting can be dangerous, so the museum has issued a disclaimer which reads: The museum cannot be responsible for the treatment of bites or for any injury or illness resulting from the project.
